What work camps are reopening?
In 2021 FDC closed over 25 work camps because of staffing issues. Recently work camps have begun to reopen.
Below is a tentative schedule from FDC on work camps that are slated to be reopened as follows:
- Tomoka Work Camp reopening in July, 2022
- Madison Work Camp to reopen in August, 2022
- Holmes Work Camp to reopen in August, 2022
- Loxahatchee Road Prison to reopen in September, 2022
